Last year I subscribed my blog at the Chamber of Commerce here in the Netherlands and I decided to turn my hobby into my full time job. Although I’m not a full time blogger yet, my journey as an entrepreneur has been very interesting and insightful so far. Venturing out to become a full time blogger is totally new for me and way out of my comfort zone as a lot of times I didn’t know what steps to take next.
Being an entrepreneur is knowing how to deal with insecurity because you can never be sure of anything. As some say, entrepreneurs have no safety net. This makes it very exciting but frightening at the same time. So having a positive outlook on things & supportive friends can make all the difference. Or inspiring quotes for entrepreneurs! Especially when dealing with a setback. Even if things don’t go as planned remember that successful entrepreneurs such as Richard Branson, Donald Trump, Oprah, Martha Stewart, Steve Jobs and many more have been there but that never stopped them. Donald Trump for one has filed for bankruptcy four times but managed to come on top every time. It’s shows quite a strength of character being able to overcome that. And being an entrepreneur also means that, falling and getting up every time!
Being an entrepreneur is not easy but doing something I love and having the freedom to decide for myself totally beats having a 9 to 5 job and working my butt off to make someone else rich while not being appreciated for it. So if you’ve always dreamed of starting your own company think about it, what do you love to do? Is it something you could work at everyday? Step out of your comfort zone and become the entrepreneur you always dreamed of becoming!
